How we put it into practice
Eco-balance eco-friendly paint
We use an eco-friendly paint with direct environmental benefits and fewer <a class="dic" href="diccionario-de-chapa-y-pintura.html#t-compuestos-organicos-volatiles" data-def="Substances that evaporate from solvents and paints and pollute the air. Low-VOC paints, such as water-based ones, cut these emissions." data-term="Volatile organic compounds (VOC)">volatile organic compounds</a> than traditional solvent-based paints.
Repair rather than replace
When a part can be reliably repaired, we repair it. That saves material, transport and waste.
Waste handled properly
Paint residue, solvents, abrasives, plastics and containers need specific treatment. We separate them and hand them to authorised waste managers.
Restore before respraying
A proper polish or headlight restoration extends the life of paint and parts without replacing them.

The most sustainable repair is the one that avoids replacing parts. Dealing promptly with a scratch that leaves bare metal stops corrosion spreading; protecting repaired areas with cavity wax and stone-chip coating means they don't have to be reopened; and polishing sun-damaged clear coat can save a respray.
